Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain C++ software models of advanced Arm CPUs.
- Explore CPU microarchitectural ideas and analyze performance, power, and design trade-offs.
- Collaborate with CPU RTL designers and implementation teams worldwide to evaluate next-generation products.
- Help drive the technical direction of the performance modelling team and improve modelling methodologies.
- Communicate and align integration, methodology, and strategy activities across global engineering teams.
- Coach and mentor junior engineers and share technical expertise.
Requirements
- Detailed understanding of CPU microarchitecture and experience with performance modelling.
- Experience exploring and evaluating processor microarchitecture and related performance opportunities.
- Proven C++ experience.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills for working with local and remote teams.
- Preferred: team leadership, planning and delivery experience, and strong software development skills including specification, coding, testing, and debugging.
- Preferred: experience with RTL and SystemC simulators, power models, Arm architectures and instruction sets, OS kernel internals, and Unix development.
- A university degree in electronic engineering, computer science, or another discipline is preferred; meaningful experience may be considered instead.
