Base Salary
$68k - $193k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and resilient backend services using Java and the Spring ecosystem.
- Build web interfaces with Angular and React and develop robust APIs and microservices.
- Design business logic, data models, and optimized PostgreSQL schemas and queries.
- Deploy and manage cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, Dockerized applications, infrastructure provisioning, and configuration management.
- Configure logging, tracing, monitoring, and alerting to maintain system health and resolve production issues.
- Write maintainable code, participate in code reviews and testing, and produce technical documentation.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers and collaborate with product managers, designers, and architects.
- Participate in and lead sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- 6+ years of professional software development experience with Java.
- 6+ years of hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.
- 6+ years of experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
- 6+ years of experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field; production SPA experience with React or Angular; Google Cloud certification; GitOps, container security scanning, Tekton, or ArgoCD experience; TDD, pair programming, and continuous integration experience; and experience with Apache Kafka or GCP Pub/Sub.
