Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate reliable backend services supporting marketing and growth initiatives.
- Own features and engineering projects from discovery and technical design through delivery and production support.
- Build and maintain integrations with internal and external platforms and ensure reliable data flows.
- Define and evolve architectures for distributed services and event-driven systems.
- Improve the reliability, quality, and operational excellence of existing and legacy services.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements, communicate trade-offs, and shape priorities.
- Contribute through testing, code reviews, documentation, and pragmatic technical decisions.
- Pair with peers, share knowledge, and mentor less experienced engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience and strong experience with Go and its ecosystem.
- Hands-on experience with distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architectures, event-streaming platforms, and messaging brokers such as Kafka.
- Practical experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or Argo CD.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, service boundaries, APIs, data flows, testing, and production operations.
- Experience building new systems while maintaining and improving legacy services.
- Strong written and verbal communication, stakeholder-management, ownership, and collaborative problem-solving skills.
- Experience in marketing technology, growth, acquisition, advertising platforms, or fintech is preferred.
- Familiarity with React, TypeScript, or Python is preferred.
