Base Salary

$115k - $235k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Prototype, design, and implement new software and trusted infrastructure.
  • Define and implement solutions for challenging distributed-systems and cloud-infrastructure problems.
  • Design and build services that support customer security.
  • Build and operate large-scale distributed systems, multi-tenant services, and cloud services.
  • Lead technical initiatives independently and collaborate with software development, data science, business, and other technical teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Strong programming skills in one or more high-level programming languages such as Java and/or Python.
  • Experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems or cloud services.
  • Strong understanding of system design, software architecture, databases, data modeling, APIs, microservices, CI/CD and DevOps practices, observability, and operational tooling.
  • Proficiency with data structures, algorithms, operating systems, security, and networking.
  • Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, experience at a large cloud provider or Internet software company, and experience building security- or network-related cloud products.
  • Preferred qualifications include strong knowledge of application security and cloud infrastructure security platforms, plus experience with Windows, Linux, and other operating systems.
  • Proven ability to independently lead technical initiatives and strong problem-solving and communication skills.
