Base Salary
$183k - $298k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement location-estimation algorithms based on Bluetooth Low Energy and satellite data, including Kalman, Extended Kalman, and Particle Filters.
- Build and deploy production-grade statistical and probabilistic models for state tracking and error correction.
- Optimize algorithms for computational efficiency, real-world performance, cost, and system constraints.
- Partner with data engineering to define data collection, structuring, and processing pipelines for analytical modeling.
- Evaluate and iterate on models using live system performance and simulation feedback.
- Collaborate with signal processing, firmware, embedded systems, and backend infrastructure teams to ensure end-to-end feasibility and integration.
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on industry experience in applied state estimation, robotics, or signal processing roles.
- Deep expertise in state estimation and sensor fusion, including practical implementation of Kalman, Extended Kalman, or Particle filtering techniques.
- Strong understanding of geolocation systems, signal propagation models, and statistical inference under uncertainty.
- Experience bringing algorithms from prototype to production in real-world, resource-constrained systems.
- Strong SQL skills using AWS Redshift, AWS Athena, or Trino/PrestoSQL to pull and validate analytical datasets.
- Strong Python programming skills focused on numerical methods, simulation, and performance optimization.
- Experience working with data engineering teams or building pipelines for analytical model development.
- Strong communication skills for synthesizing complex technical ideas for technical and non-technical audiences.
- U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency as defined by ITAR is required.
- Preferred experience includes robotics localization, GN&C, autonomous systems perception, or RF geolocation.
