Responsibilities

  • Lead enhancement of the AI/ML platform to improve workflows and the developer experience for data and ML engineers.
  • Architect and manage scalable, secure, cost-effective, and highly available cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
  • Build and maintain DevOps pipelines for automated ML model training, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Develop dashboards, logging systems, alerting frameworks, and other tools that improve platform reliability, observability, and fault tolerance.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, engineering teams, cloud engineers, and business stakeholders to align platform development with organizational goals.
  • Support Responsible AI solutions emphasizing transparency, fairness, and ethical practices.
  • Apply AI/ML, data science, and health or biology sciences knowledge to design holistic MLOps solutions.
  • Lead and manage cloud architecture and engineering teams and communicate technical strategies to technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a related field; the posting also references a master's degree in these areas.
  • At least 5 years of experience in MLOps, DevOps, or a related role.
  • Advanced proficiency with cloud platforms, especially Google Cloud Platform.
  • Hands-on experience deploying machine learning solutions at scale and a strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, technologies, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Python and other scripting tools for automation and platform optimization.
  • Experience with cloud architecture, platform development, reliability, observability, and ML workflows.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with peer teams, data scientists, and product managers.
  • Experience leading cloud architecture and engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Responsible AI and ethical AI practices.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Experience with on-premises and edge deployments is preferred.
