Responsibilities
- Execute software verification and validation activities in accordance with DO-178C.
- Perform requirements-based testing and verification, including review of High-Level Requirements and Low-Level Requirements.
- Maintain end-to-end traceability across requirements, design, implementation, and verification artifacts.
- Conduct defect analysis, root-cause investigation, debugging, static analysis, code reviews, and structural coverage assessments.
- Create certification evidence and compliance documentation and support certification audits and regulatory reviews.
- Lead certification activities, collaborate with global engineering and certification teams, mentor junior engineers, and drive process improvements.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, verification, validation, or safety certification.
- Strong expertise in DO-178C certification, compliance, verification and validation, requirements traceability, and audit support.
- Hands-on experience with embedded software development, C or Embedded C, BSPs, and SDLC processes.
- Proficiency with LDRA, Polarion, DOORS, Git, Jira, Linux, and Python.
- Experience leading certification activities and delivering safety-critical software projects.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Preferred experience includes safety-critical software certification programs, global or distributed engineering teams, VxWorks, Embedded Linux, Helix Virtualization Platform, IEC 61508, ISO 26262, IEC 50128, customer audits, certification reviews, mentoring, and process improvement.
