Base Salary
$160k - $320k/yr
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of Nutanix’s Acropolis Hypervisor (AHV).
- Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot AHV security features.
- Improve AHV reliability, performance, and security.
- Lead feature development from concept to market.
- Interact with open-source communities.
- Develop software using C and Python for kernel-level Unix/Linux systems.
- Work on virtual machine lifecycle management and scalable distributed services.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in C and Python.
- Extensive knowledge of operating-system internals, particularly UNIX/Linux.
- Familiarity with x86 architecture, virtualization, storage, and network management.
- Experience developing kernel-level software for Unix/Linux/BSD operating systems.
- Skill with C/C++, multithreading, algorithms, and data structures on Linux.
- Strong Linux kernel-mode debugging skills.
- Experience developing device drivers in Unix/Linux/BSD environments.
- A BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
