Responsibilities
- Lead efforts to improve Datadog’s public-facing MCP server.
- Design and implement agentic tool surfaces for AI agents.
- Build and maintain advanced evaluation pipelines for agent performance.
- Investigate and resolve failure cases by analyzing tool output.
- Collaborate across teams to align on standards for tool integration.
Requirements
- Experienced Staff-level engineer with a strong background in applied AI.
- Comfortable working in high ambiguity and fast-changing environments.
- Skilled in building evaluation frameworks for LLM agents or AI systems.
- Bonus: Experience with MCP standards or agent-compatible tooling.
- Strong systems thinking and ability to reason across multiple agents.
