Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and optimize scalable cloud-native data pipelines and event-driven, high-volume data-processing infrastructure.
- Develop satellite tasking, telemetry, command, data-ingestion, processing, and delivery workflows.
- Build and maintain integrations with global ground station networks and support hyperspectral image-processing pipelines.
- Develop containerized application deployments and real-time data pipelines using AWS services including ECS, S3, and SQS.
- Lead development efforts independently, take ownership from architecture through deployment, and ship production-ready software.
- Collaborate with spacecraft, payload, and mission engineering teams to support flight readiness and active satellite missions.
- Build automation, monitoring, or validation tooling that improves data-engineering velocity and reliability.
- Support critical integration, testing, or launch activities outside standard working hours when required.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency is required.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace, Data Science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of hands-on software development experience focused on cloud-native applications, distributed systems, and backend infrastructure.
- Proficiency in Kotlin and TypeScript, with experience in Python.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services, especially ECS, S3, and SQS.
- Experience with containerized applications, real-time data pipelines, cloud-based infrastructure, event-driven systems, and high-volume data processing.
- Ability to independently lead development efforts, ship high-quality code, manage shifting priorities, and take technical ownership.
- Preferred experience with Rust and Ray Data Pipelines.
- Astrodynamics, GNC, or physics experience for satellite simulations is preferred.
- Experience migrating systems to new languages, frameworks, or infrastructures and knowledge of multiple languages and frameworks is preferred.
