Base Salary
$111k - $144k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for geospatial datasets.
- Develop and optimize PostGIS and PostgreSQL database schemas.
- Write and maintain Python-based automation scripts and geospatial processing tools.
- Collaborate with geospatial data analysts to translate data requirements into engineering solutions.
- Monitor and maintain data quality, pipeline reliability, and system performance.
- Support integration of geospatial data infrastructure with internal systems.
- Contribute to special projects and cross-functional initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Geography, Statistics, Math, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in data engineering or software engineering.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with geospatial libraries like GeoPandas and GDAL.
- Solid SQL skills and experience with PostgreSQL and PostGIS.
- Fluency with Git/GitHub workflows.
- Working knowledge of geospatial data formats and coordinate reference systems.
- Experience building or maintaining ETL or data pipeline workflows.
