Base Salary
$90k - $158k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead solution design and end-to-end delivery for applications built on InterSystems Cache and InterSystems IRIS.
- Design, develop, test, debug, and document ObjectScript-based services, APIs, batch processes, and data workflows.
- Optimize IRIS/Cache data structures, SQL access, persistent classes, queries, and application logic for performance and scalability.
- Lead modernization, upgrades, migrations, and integrations including Cache-to-IRIS migrations, messaging, and file or batch interfaces.
- Troubleshoot incidents, perform root-cause analysis, implement preventive improvements, and support secure and reliable operations.
- Mentor engineers and collaborate with engineering, QA, architecture, infrastructure, product, security, and risk teams.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with technical leadership, enterprise-system design ownership, mentoring, and delivery accountability.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with InterSystems Cache and/or InterSystems IRIS, including strong ObjectScript development and support expertise.
- 3+ years of experience building and supporting high-performance, data-centric applications using SQL, indexing, query optimization, performance tuning, and operational readiness.
- 2+ years of Agile delivery experience using Scrum or Kanban, including refinement, estimation, sprint planning, demos, retrospectives, and production support or incident response.
- Preferred: 3+ years of IRIS/Cache administration or operational partnership involving installation, upgrades, backup and restore, monitoring, and high availability.
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience with REST/JSON APIs, messaging, ETL pipelines, batch or file interfaces, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Git-based workflows.
- Preferred: 1+ year in regulated environments such as financial services, Linux/Unix scripting experience, and InterSystems certifications in IRIS, Cache, HealthShare, or Ensemble.
Benefits
- Salary range is $90,000.00-$158,400.00 for employees in New Jersey and New York, with ranges varying by state.
