Base Salary
$165k - $196k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and ship new backend features and capabilities in a highly scalable, cross-geo distributed environment.
- Design and implement scalable, high-performance backend microservices.
- Contribute to code reviews, testing, documentation, reliability, security, and performance practices.
- Provide visibility, error reporting, and monitoring for backend services.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, product managers, and designers and participate in Agile development activities.
- Mentor teammates through formal and informal knowledge-sharing sessions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field plus three years of related work experience, or a master’s degree or foreign equivalent plus one year of related work experience.
- At least one year of experience with backend application development and architecture.
- At least one year of experience designing and implementing scalable, high-performance microservices.
- At least one year of experience with Java, Kotlin, Go, Scala, or Python.
- At least one year of experience with Oracle, Postgres, Elasticsearch, or DynamoDB.
- At least one year of experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and with SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and cloud architecture patterns.
- At least one year of experience with software quality, reliability, and performance.

- 100% telecommuting permitted; the stated schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., 40 hours per week.
