Responsibilities
- Redesign manual per-customer release workflows into automated, parameterized CI/CD pipelines triggered directly by provisioning events.
- Build and operate secrets-management infrastructure with vaulting, per-tenant and per-environment scoping, and rotation schedules.
- Own infrastructure-as-code for provisioning APIs, configuration services, and an admin console across development, staging, and production.
- Build monitoring, metrics, logging, and alerting for a distributed endpoint-heavy system, including detection of stale proxies, retry storms, and unbounded local queue growth.
- Maintain multi-platform client build, packaging, and signing tooling while managing platform-specific configuration differences.
- Improve access controls, logging, and production configuration distribution as part of the release process security posture.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in a DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE role with ownership of a production CI/CD pipeline.
- Hands-on experience designing secrets-management systems with rotation schedules and per-tenant or per-environment scoping.
- Infrastructure-as-code experience using Terraform or an equivalent tool across multiple environments.
- Experience building observability through metrics, logging, and alerting for distributed systems with loosely connected clients.
- Experience with multi-platform build pipelines spanning at least two operating systems, including packaging and signing requirements.
- A security-conscious approach to access control and protection of secrets in distributed software.
- Preferred: experience fully automating a manual, human-run release process as a scoped project.
- Preferred: experience operating infrastructure for a self-serve, marketplace-distributed SaaS product.
- Preferred: familiarity with cloud data platform deployment models, including warehouse-adjacent compute or native application distribution.
