Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-volume business logic on mainframe systems.
- Monitor architecture, identify inefficiencies, and optimize code for mainframe performance.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and analyze complex system interactions.
- Extract business logic from legacy systems for migration or integration with cloud-based services.
- Apply modern software development, architecture, and DevOps practices.
Requirements
- Experience as a software engineer on complex software projects.
- Strong coding and development experience with Java, Python, .NET, or similar languages.
- Experience developing scalable and robust software using software development methodologies.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, data mapping, XML/JSON, and REST-based web services.
- Knowledge of architecture design, microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and messaging queues.
- Deep understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred: certification in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform, or willingness to obtain certifications through Kyndryl.
- Experience with DevOps tools and modern engineering practices.
