Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance business-critical applications using Java, Spring Boot, and ReactJS, primarily focusing on backend engineering and modern UI development.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI coding assistance for coding, refactoring, testing, and documentation while validating outputs through review, testing, and secure coding practices.
- Partner with Compliance, Operations, Front Office, and technology teams to deliver scalable solutions for global investment compliance workflows.
- Design, code, and troubleshoot across upstream and downstream systems while considering technical implications.
- Drive automation across development, testing, deployment, and operational processes.
- Apply observability, SRE, and DevOps practices to support application reliability, proactive monitoring, and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 2 years of applied experience.
- At least 3 years of software engineering experience with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on full-stack development experience.
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Strong SQL and relational database experience, including query optimization, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Agile development practices.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to evaluate and validate AI-generated outputs.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, ownership, and software delivery skills.
- Preferred experience with public cloud technologies, especially AWS.
- Preferred experience with ReactJS or equivalent frameworks such as Angular or Vue.
- Preferred experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
- Preferred familiarity with Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, Dynatrace, or ELK.
- Preferred experience with Python, Shell, or similar scripting languages.
- Exposure to financial services, asset management, investment compliance, wealth management, or other regulated industry platforms is preferred.
