Responsibilities
- Build, extend, and scale a GPU-based simulator for reinforcement-learning agents across thousands of parallel environments.
- Develop reinforcement-learning training tooling, including domain randomisation, to improve sim-to-real generalisation.
- Improve the fidelity and performance of flight-dynamics, sensing, and other simulation models.
- Support export of trained policies and assets into downstream simulators and physical hardware.
- Collaborate with AI specialists and engineers to align the simulator with training needs and mission-relevant outcomes.
- Own maintainable code and help shape shared libraries and the wider simulation ecosystem.
Requirements
- MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Robotics, Control Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Strong software engineering skills in Python and/or Rust or modern C++, including production deployment, testing, and monitoring.
- Depth in at least one of GPU programming, high-performance simulation, physics or flight-dynamics modelling, or navigation and control.
- Knowledge of AI and how models are trained and evaluated is preferred.
- Breadth across GPU programming and simulation environment design is preferred.
- Deep GPU expertise, including CUDA kernel optimisation or experience with Taichi, NVIDIA Warp/CuteDSL, Triton, or Helion, is preferred.
Benefits
- Competitive salary and VSOP options are offered.
- Relocation support includes up to €2,500 and four weeks of temporary accommodation.
- Annual learning allowance of €500/£450.
- Gym membership and mental health support through Nilo.health.
- Regular company events and monthly social allowances.
- Enhanced parental leave provides 22 weeks fully paid for primary caregivers and six weeks for secondary caregivers.
- Five days of paid family emergency leave, a 100% remote work option during pregnancy, and phased return to work are provided.
- A hands-on engineering and AI onboarding program provides opportunities to build company-wide tooling and work with engineering teams from day one.
