Responsibilities
- Design, implement, integrate, and test software solutions of moderate complexity across the Q2 platform.
- Develop and maintain backend services, data-processing workflows, and ETL pipelines.
- Deliver and support reliable software in live production systems, including debugging, performance tuning, and root-cause analysis.
- Troubleshoot complex production and data issues and provide occasional on-call or emergency support.
- Contribute to data analysis, exploratory data analysis, model-driven features, and ML integrations.
- Collaborate on AI-powered and agent-based solutions using modern LLM frameworks and tooling.
- Maintain adherence to security, availability, confidentiality, and privacy policies.
- Assist and mentor teammates through code reviews, best-practice sharing, and technical guidance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Experience with web/tool development and backend service development.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with large language models and modern AI workflows.
- Understanding of the software development life cycle and service-oriented architectures.
- Experience contributing in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
- ETL fundamentals and experience building or maintaining data pipelines are preferred.
- Experience with NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, and XGBoost is preferred.
- Experience with exploratory data analysis and machine-learning concepts and model lifecycle integration is preferred.
- Exposure to agentic AI architectures, MCP tools, AI orchestration frameworks, and secure, scalable production AI/ML system design is preferred.
- Fluent written and oral communication in English.
- Ability to work flexibly and provide occasional on-call or emergency support.
