Responsibilities
- Migrate existing ML model training code from experimental or proof-of-concept stages into robust, automated production pipelines.
- Design, build, and maintain continuous-training workflows for data preparation, model training, and batch scoring.
- Package and deploy traditional ML models, including ONNX models, to serving infrastructure such as Vespa and Triton.
- Automate model deployments, including deployments triggered by successful Vertex AI training pipelines through GitHub Actions.
- Build automated model quality and evaluation gates.
- Own and continuously improve standards, quality, and governance across the complete ML model lifecycle.
- Act as a technical bridge between Data Science and Infrastructure teams.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in GCP and Vertex AI, or equivalent platforms such as SageMaker.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
- Proven experience building robust CI/CD and automation pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
- Sufficient understanding of ML workflows including training, evaluation, and inference to debug pipelines and build meaningful quality gates.
- Software engineering experience with a builder, automation, and service-oriented mindset.
- Strong communication, pragmatism, problem-solving ability, curiosity, and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Familiarity with Vespa, NVIDIA Triton, and ONNX is a bonus.
