Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Design and implement large-scale, distributed, or cloud-native systems with high reliability and performance requirements.
- Provide technical leadership across multiple teams and shape system architecture and long-term technology direction.
- Deliver cloud-based solutions in collaboration with digital product managers.
- Define platform roadmaps and shared-services strategy with architects and product leaders.
- Mentor engineers, contribute to technology communities, and drive professional development.
- Lead architectural design reviews, establish coding standards and design patterns, and influence enterprise-wide technology strategy.
- Implement observability and reliability practices and use observability to optimize distributed-system performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience, excluding internship experience.
- At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred experience includes 9+ years coding with multiple listed languages, 5+ years with open-source frameworks and frontend JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, and 5+ years creating synchronous and asynchronous APIs.
- Preferred experience includes database systems, cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing frameworks, Git-based version control, and troubleshooting cloud environments.
- Preferred experience includes mentoring senior engineers, optimizing distributed systems with observability, leading architecture reviews, enforcing coding standards, and implementing reliability practices at scale.
- Experience with modern AI-based coding tools, interactive AI productivity tooling, cross-functional engineering efforts, large-scale technical initiatives, and portfolio- or business-unit-level technology strategy.

- Annual base salary ranges vary by location: $209,000-$238,500 in Plano, TX; $229,900-$262,400 in McLean, VA; and $250,800-$286,200 in New York, NY.
- Eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, including cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives.
