Base Salary
$203k - $259k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and scale enterprise AI/ML and Generative AI solutions for Cisco IQ and the Customer Experience platform.
- Develop predictive models, RAG architectures, autonomous agentic workflows, and production-grade AI applications.
- Own data pipelines, low-latency model serving, LLMOps infrastructure, and automated evaluation and observability frameworks.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy production software applications, APIs, and distributed services.
- Partner with product managers, data scientists, architects, and software engineers to deliver secure, scalable production capabilities.
- Drive responsible AI governance, technical excellence, measurable customer outcomes, and mentoring of other engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of related experience, or a master’s degree with 4+ years of related experience.
- Production programming experience with Python and/or Java, including applications, APIs, or distributed services.
- Experience developing, training, evaluating, and deploying machine learning models with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, or XGBoost.
- Experience building Generative AI and LLM applications using RAG, embeddings, vector databases, prompt engineering, AI agents, or LLM evaluation and observability tools.
- Experience building data pipelines and data-intensive applications using SQL, Spark, Kafka, ETL/ELT frameworks, or cloud data platforms.
- Preferred experience with agentic AI applications, multi-agent workflows, tool or function calling, context management, LLMOps/MLOps, model monitoring, and automated evaluation.
- Preferred experience deploying cloud-native AI/ML applications and data platforms using AWS or Google Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, REST APIs, and modern data processing frameworks.
- Preferred proficiency with GitHub Copilot, Claude or Claude Code, Cursor, or similar AI-assisted engineering tools.
- Ability to independently own complex technical problems, collaborate across disciplines, communicate technical concepts, and mentor engineers.
