Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver scalable, maintainable, high-performance software solutions for the Mortgages domain.
- Build secure backend systems and full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, frontend technologies, databases, and cloud-native architectures.
- Design RESTful APIs, microservices, service-to-service integrations, and asynchronous communication patterns for high-volume transactional environments.
- Lead technical design discussions, conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, and guide delivery teams.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, product owners, architects, QA, security, DevOps, and other engineers.
- Implement unit testing, automated testing, secure coding practices, authentication, authorization, encryption, and secure deployments.
- Support risk management, controls, compliance, audit, governance, resiliency, fault tolerance, availability, and performance optimization.
- Communicate complex technical solutions to business and senior stakeholders and contribute to technology communities.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience with Java, JDK 17+, Spring Boot, and Spring MVC.
- Strong expertise in API design, microservices architecture, and service-to-service integration in high-volume transactional environments.
- Experience with Angular or React Native, HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript ES6+.
- End-to-end full-stack development experience, including frontend-backend integration and asynchronous communication patterns.
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server and with NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of OAuth2, JWT, authentication, authorization, encryption, and secure coding practices.
- Experience with AWS or Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud-native architectures, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, Maven, and Gradle.
- Proficiency with Git and enterprise development workflows.
- Experience leading technical design discussions, conducting code reviews, and mentoring engineers in large delivery teams.
- Preferred experience includes regulated environments, compliance, audit, governance, system resiliency, fault tolerance, high availability, performance optimization, design patterns, object-oriented principles, enterprise architecture, JUnit, Mockito, integration testing, contract testing, Agile/Scrum, and banking domains such as payments, lending, mortgages, customer onboarding, or core banking systems.
- Strong communication, collaboration, risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, and digital and technology skills.
