Responsibilities
- Advise cross-functional teams on technology selection, target-state architecture, and improvements to current technologies.
- Apply enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to architecture analysis, roadmap development, and design decisioning with human validation and sensitive-data safeguards.
- Develop multi-year architecture roadmaps aligned with business and technology strategy.
- Represent the line of business in firmwide technical forums and promote well-architected practices.
- Develop and review secure, high-quality, resilient production applications and drive continuous improvement.
- Evaluate emerging and existing technologies and influence adoption of appropriate leading-edge solutions.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and contribute to technical methods and architecture practices.
- Establish reusable AI-enabled engineering patterns and governance across software development lifecycle and toolchain practices.
- Lead a product as a product owner or product manager and communicate effectively with senior leaders and executives.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in architecture concepts and advanced applied architecture experience.
- Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Expertise in one or more programming languages.
- Deep knowledge of software, applications, advanced software architecture, application development, and technical processes in one or more technical disciplines.
- Experience applying enterprise-authorized AI capabilities in architecture and engineering workflows with strong validation practices and data-sensitivity awareness.
- Ability to integrate AI-enabled capabilities into scalable platforms while meeting resiliency, security, and auditability requirements.
- Experience solving complex architecture problems using established expertise and new methods.
- Experience as a product owner or product manager.
- Ability to present and communicate effectively to senior leaders and executives.
- Preferred: industry certification in a platform technology such as cloud, network, operating system, or database technology.
- Preferred: small-team management experience.
