Base Salary
$136k - $214k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and scale a multi-tenant AI Ops platform integrating backend services, runtime engines, and developer tools.
- Design, build, and maintain high-concurrency GraphQL and REST APIs, event-driven backend microservices, abstraction layers, gateway routers, and middleware around AI/ML models.
- Design, optimize, and query relational and NoSQL database systems for high-throughput production workloads.
- Implement telemetry, logging, performance metrics, uptime, and observability across cluster environments.
- Containerize and deploy services using orchestration tools and modern deployment pipelines.
- Evaluate technology choices, set engineering standards, design end-to-end solutions, and collaborate with external and cross-functional engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, with consideration for coursework and experience or extensive related professional experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, scaling, and operating distributed backend systems and microservices.
- Proven experience designing and implementing GraphQL and REST APIs for complex system communication.
- Hands-on experience deploying and scaling real-world AI/ML use cases, serving tools, and API wrappers for operational execution.
- Experience designing, optimizing, and querying relational and/or NoSQL databases at scale.
- Advanced proficiency in Python and/or Go, Java, or C++.
- Ability to architect complex systems, evaluate technical tradeoffs, and work with external engineering teams.
- Preferred experience with Docker, Kubernetes, containerized applications, cloud or cluster environments, telemetry, monitoring, MLOps tools, and legacy-system modernization.
