Base Salary
$87k - $161k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain SOAR playbooks and security automation workflows.
- Develop Python-, JSON-, and REST API-based integrations between SOAR platforms and security technologies.
- Automate security operations and incident-response activities, including alert enrichment and cross-platform orchestration.
- Partner with cybersecurity teams to identify automation opportunities and translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop custom integrations and reusable automation components when pre-built SOAR capabilities are insufficient.
- Optimize and troubleshoot playbooks, scripts, APIs, integrations, authentication, and workflows.
- Maintain technical documentation and participate in peer reviews, testing, and quality-control processes.
- Follow secure development practices and continuously identify opportunities to improve security processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or business field such as statistics, mathematics, engineering, or computer science, or equivalent experience acquired through applicable knowledge, duties, scope, and skills.
- Requires 4–6 years of related experience.
- Experience developing security automation or orchestration solutions and strong Python scripting and development skills.
- Experience with JSON, REST APIs, application and security-technology integrations, and troubleshooting API, scripting, authentication, and integration issues.
- Understanding of security operations, incident response, and security alert workflows.
- Familiarity with Git and modern software development practices.
- Ability to translate manual or semi-manual processes into reliable automated workflows and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred qualifications include enterprise SOAR platform experience, hands-on Tines experience, familiarity with SIEM, EDR, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, IAM, and ticketing platforms, and knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and incident-response methodologies.
- Preferred experience includes CI/CD pipelines, automated code scanning, secure development practices, and custom integrations.
