$405k - $485k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and drive multi-year technical strategy for the Claude API.
- Identify and lead high-complexity engineering initiatives across multiple teams.
- Serve as the primary technical decision-maker for major architectural decisions.
- Collaborate with Research, Inference, Platform, Infrastructure, and Safeguards teams.
- Mentor and develop Staff-level engineers across the organization.
- Drive alignment across Product, GTM, Safety, and proactively address technical risks.
Requirements
- 12+ years of engineering experience at Staff or Senior Staff level.
- Proven track record in shaping technical strategy for large-scale API or distributed systems.
- Ability to drive technical outcomes through influence and trust.
- Deep expertise in distributed systems and API architecture.
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Effective collaboration across organizational boundaries.
