Responsibilities
- Explore, clean, and prepare structured data using SQL.
- Build and evaluate machine learning models across multiple techniques with guidance on experiment design.
- Support feature engineering and model development alongside engineers.
- Work on generative AI use cases involving prompting and retrieval-based methods under supervision.
- Document work and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- Currently be a fourth-year undergraduate in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related program.
- Demonstrate knowledge of supervised and unsupervised learning, model evaluation, and feature engineering.
- Be proficient in Python and its data stack, including NumPy, pandas, and scikit-learn.
- Understand data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and database concepts.
- Be able to write SQL for structured data.
- Have coursework or project exposure to large language models and generative AI, including prompting, embeddings, or RAG basics.
- Have an interest in taking models beyond notebooks and building components for production systems.
- Interest in the investment industry and enterprise technology is expected.
- Preferred qualifications include exposure to PyTorch or TensorFlow, Hugging Face, LangChain, vector databases, MLOps practices, cloud-native data and ML services, and Azure DevOps.
- Project management aptitude is a preferred qualification.
