Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of platform capabilities, services, and enhancements for the AI Agent product.
- Own the full software development lifecycle from requirements analysis and technical design through implementation, deployment, observability, and maintenance.
- Architect and build scalable, resilient, high-performance backend systems and APIs using Go.
- Integrate LLM and speech technologies and develop AI-powered conversational and workflow automation capabilities.
- Partner with product managers, business stakeholders, and cross-functional engineering teams to translate business goals into technical solutions.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews and technical guidance while improving engineering standards.
- Lead initiatives focused on reliability, performance, security, developer productivity, technical debt reduction, and platform maintainability.
- Evaluate and adopt AI, automation, and infrastructure technologies that provide measurable business value.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer delivering complex backend or platform solutions in production.
- Deep knowledge of the Go programming language ecosystem, including concurrency, performance tuning, and service design.
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 2 years of hands-on production experience in Go and/or other modern backend languages.
- Practical experience building or integrating AI-powered applications using APIs from OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar LLM platforms.
- Familiarity with prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, function or tool calling, conversation orchestration, and model evaluation.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and scalable systems.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining distributed systems and microservices architectures.
- Experience with high availability, observability, security, and operational excellence.
- Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
- Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services and cloud-native infrastructure patterns.
- Working knowledge of Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong communication skills, collaboration, cross-functional teamwork, and good English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
- Preferred experience gathering requirements from users, product owners, and stakeholders.
- Preferred experience with AWS CDK, Terraform, or similar infrastructure-as-code and deployment automation tools.
- Preferred working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, and Python.
- Preferred experience with Cursor, Anthropic Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar AI-assisted engineering tools.
