Base Salary
$130k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Integrate CAN DBCs from vehicle platforms and sensors into the AUTOSAR communication stack.
- Maintain and fine-tune autonomous safety features implemented within AUTOSAR.
- Design and implement AUTOSAR UDS, DEM, diagnostic, DTC, and event-chain reporting functionality.
- Troubleshoot vehicle and system issues reported by partners, internal teams, operations, and diagnostic tools.
- Support vehicle-platform integration and bring-up, including sensor and ECU flashing, configuration, data collection, parameter tuning, and issue resolution.
- Create and execute vehicle tests and testing campaigns according to internal and customer requirements.
- Execute development tests with test management and software developers.
- Travel up to 50% to support on-vehicle testing of embedded systems and autonomous-driving stacks.
- Follow QMS requirements, monitor quality, and contribute to process improvements.
Requirements
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in C programming, Linux, and Git development workflows.
- Hands-on experience with AUTOSAR, real-time operating systems, and embedded software best practices.
- Familiarity with Lauterbach, ISystem, Vector CANalyzer, and Vector CANoe.
- Understanding of CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, SPI, Ethernet, UDS, and J1939 automotive protocols.
- Hands-on experience designing DTC and UDS functionality and implementing AUTOSAR DEM for autonomous or ADAS systems, including diagnostic event chains.
- Understanding of software testing levels and experience building automated testing infrastructure.
- Willingness to travel and work around Class-8 commercial vehicles.
- Preferred: Python and C++ programming, autonomous-driving software-stack knowledge, sensor concepts including camera, lidar, radar, GPS, and IMU, vehicle harnesses and electronics, and Infineon Aurix MCU and automotive high-performance SoC experience.
- Strong teamwork, communication, analytical, and systematic working skills.
