Responsibilities
- Design and develop firmware under the guidance of senior engineering team members.
- Develop and maintain embedded firmware for STMicroelectronics microcontrollers using C++.
- Create GUIs and test tools using Python or other programming languages for firmware validation and debugging.
- Use logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and laboratory equipment to troubleshoot hardware and firmware issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on circuit design, integration, and system-level testing.
- Maintain documentation covering firmware architecture, code development, test procedures, and validation results.
- Follow site EHS procedures, corporate EHS standards, and applicable quality and environmental management responsibilities.
Requirements
- MS in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Five years of related experience preferred.
- Solid foundation in digital circuit design and deep understanding of microcontrollers.
- Ability to work with little supervision and manage assigned tasks effectively.
- Ability to learn and apply new technologies and tools.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to move light equipment and tooling weighing less than 25 pounds when setting up test benches.
