Base Salary
$87k - $144k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and own platform API endpoints, contracts, and extraction work.
- Own ingestion pipelines, EHR synchronization, normalization, and related platform subsystems end to end.
- Build internal tooling and frontends for vocabulary mapping, data quality, hospital onboarding, and operational visibility.
- Maintain framework and dependency upgrades, developer tooling, and CI systems.
- Diagnose loosely specified production and vendor issues and implement durable fixes.
- Maintain correctness and observability as the platform gains new consumers.
- Own a production pipeline, including its on-call responsibilities.
- Ship a platform API or internal tooling feature and take ownership of a platform surface used by other teams.
Requirements
- Current development skills with Ruby on Rails, Sidekiq, AWS, ECS, Aurora PostgreSQL, and TypeScript frontend development.
- Strong backend fundamentals involving queues, retries, transactions, and their failure modes.
- Deep SQL knowledge and relational data-modeling experience, including reviewing query plans.
- Experience owning production systems end to end, including operational maintenance.
- A patient, methodical debugging approach and comfort working in logs.
- Experience using AI-assisted development, coding agents, and spec-driven development.
Benefits
- U.S. National Base Pay Range: $86,600 - $144,400, with geographic differentials in some locations.
