Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements and design IBM Sterling OMS solutions for omnichannel order orchestration, inventory visibility, and fulfillment.
- Configure IBM Sterling OMS Admin features, including order types, pipelines, statuses, user exits, rules, sourcing, allocation, promise dates, and service-level logic.
- Design and document functional integrations involving order capture, payments, inventory, fulfillment, logistics, and related upstream and downstream systems.
- Coordinate with developers and architects to validate configurations and custom components against functional and non-functional requirements.
- Prepare and execute system and integration testing, validate results, and coordinate defect triage.
- Analyze production incidents, identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and improve system stability and performance.
- Guide business users through Sterling OMS capabilities using workshops, user guides, and knowledge-transfer activities.
- Maintain configuration documentation, follow governance and change-management practices, and prioritize continuous-improvement opportunities.
Requirements
- 9–12 years of experience in functional specialist or equivalent roles supporting IBM Sterling OMS implementations and enhancements.
- Deep hands-on knowledge of IBM Sterling OMS Admin and IBM Sterling core modules, including complex order pipelines, fulfillment logic, and business rules.
- Experience designing functional integrations across order capture, payments, inventory, logistics, and other enterprise systems.
- Strong understanding of sourcing rules, allocation logic, promise dates, service-level agreements, and omnichannel order management.
- Experience with system integration testing and user acceptance testing, including test-scenario preparation and defect validation.
- Ability to translate business and technical requirements into clear functional specifications and practical, scalable solutions.
- Experience investigating complex production issues, evaluating performance, and recommending configuration improvements.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders in hybrid and distributed delivery environments.
- Understanding of secure and compliant configuration practices for sensitive order and customer data.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, stakeholder-management, and trade-off analysis skills.
