Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy, and maintain hybrid cloud infrastructure across AWS and on-premises Kubernetes environments.
- Create and maintain Terraform and Ansible Infrastructure as Code solutions for provisioning, configuration, and automation.
- Develop and support GitLab CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, testing, and release processes.
- Configure AWS services including Route 53, Application Load Balancers, networking, security, and platform integrations.
- Maintain secure connectivity between AWS services, Kong Gateway, and on-premises Kubernetes platforms.
- Support application onboarding, deployments, upgrades, operational readiness, and lifecycle management.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, logging, performance tracking, and other observability capabilities.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, platform, networking, and application issues and act as an escalation point for user-reported problems.
- Manage shared engineering platforms including GitLab, Nexus, Vault, Harbor, Jenkins, and Digital.ai.
- Perform platform patching, upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and lifecycle management.
- Evaluate and deploy tools that support platform engineering and software delivery objectives.
- Create documentation, operational procedures, technical designs, and runbooks.
Requirements
- Strong production experience administering and troubleshooting Kubernetes platforms.
- Hands-on AWS experience covering networking, load balancing, DNS, security, and application hosting.
- Strong expertise with Terraform and experience using Ansible for configuration management, automation, and platform provisioning.
- Proven experience designing and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments spanning AWS and on-premises infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of observability practices, including monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance analysis.
- Experience with API gateways and ingress technologies such as Kong Gateway.
- Good understanding of DNS, routing, load balancing, TLS certificates, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Experience managing DevOps tools such as GitLab, Nexus, Harbor, Vault, Jenkins, and similar platforms.
- Experience with platform upgrades, patching, vulnerability remediation, and troubleshooting across infrastructure, platform, and application layers.
- Ability to understand end-to-end application architecture and support services throughout the application lifecycle.
- Strong communication, documentation, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
