Base Salary
$150k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients and Cuesta teammates to explore business needs, scope solutions, and translate ambiguous problems into working systems.
- Own solutions end to end, including discovery, system design, coding, deployment, production operation, and iteration.
- Build custom AI agents and LLM features that connect to client data, tools, and workflows.
- Deliver working demos in under a week and deploy production solutions within weeks.
- Use AI coding tools and establish playbooks for AI-native engineering workflows.
- Deploy and operate applications on cloud platforms using containers, orchestration, and infrastructure as code.
- Create reusable components from engagement learnings to accelerate future builds.
- Help shape the team’s technology stack, processes, hiring, and engineering standards.
- Act as a technical lead across engagements and help hire and train new engineers.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience building and shipping production software.
- Daily, hands-on use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code.
- Strong modern web development fundamentals and willingness to work with Python, Node.js, TypeScript, React, Postgres, Docker, LangChain, and LangSmith.
- Experience deploying and operating production applications on AWS, Azure, GCP, Vercel, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code such as Terraform or Pulumi.
- Ability to explore and scope ambiguous problems with clients and teammates and turn them into working systems.
- Ability to explain technical tradeoffs to client executives in plain language.
