Responsibilities
- Build and maintain applications, product integrations, and frameworks for Box’s strategic partners.
- Develop new integration versions and features through medium- and large-scale software projects.
- Spend approximately 60% of time coding, with additional work in technical design, documentation, bug fixes, maintenance, and meetings.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, engineers, internal teams, and external partners to refine requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Review technical feasibility, provide recommendations, and guide junior engineers as a technical expert.
- Provide product support and troubleshoot production issues.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to and triage issues while on call.
- Track work through project tools, participate in team meetings, and contribute to Box’s Poland office culture.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in one or more of Java, PHP, C#, Node.js, React.js, Python, or Ruby.
- Strong understanding of software design principles and testing methodologies.
- Ability to manage project milestones, adapt to varying integration requirements, and communicate clearly with team members.
- Ability to review technical feasibility and provide clear recommendations.
- Comfort acting as a technical expert and guide for junior engineers.
- Experience supporting products and troubleshooting issues in production environments.
- Proficient English communication skills.
- Prior experience building partner or third-party integrations is preferred.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerized deployment environments is preferred.
- Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment and contributing to cross-functional projects is preferred.
