Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for front-end and back-end applications using Karate API, Java, Selenium, and databases.
- Write clear and readable Gherkin test scenarios within a BDD approach.
- Perform REST API testing using tools such as Postman.
- Use PostgreSQL, BigQuery, and SQL to generate or analyze test data and test data-related functionality.
- Set up CI/CD pipelines in GitLab CI for automated test execution.
- Manage test campaigns and quality tracking in Jira Xray.
- Build and maintain realistic, reproducible test data linked to business cases.
- Produce precise, concise, and actionable test deliverables and reports.
- Evaluate test coverage and improve the relevance of automation.
- Collaborate with product, development, and design teams to ensure application quality.
Requirements
- Bac+5 degree from an engineering school or equivalent university education, specialized in computer science, or equivalent significant experience.
- 3 to 7 years of experience in a similar test automation role.
- Proficiency with Java, Selenium, Karate API, API testing, databases, SQL, and GitLab CI.
- Knowledge of Gherkin, BDD, REST API testing, PostgreSQL or BigQuery, and Jira Xray.
- Validated understanding of software quality assurance through ISTQB certification.
- Strong analytical skills and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Retail or mass-market distribution experience is a plus.
- Understanding of Agile concepts including Scrum, sprint planning, and backlogs.
