Responsibilities
- Implement FX trading systems and solutions across FX Technology teams.
- Design and develop system architecture and enhance the quality of deliverables.
- Build new systems, replace legacy systems, renovate existing systems, and troubleshoot software, hardware, and network issues.
- Work directly with sales, trading, product teams, end users, and enterprise stakeholders.
- Define and implement departmental best practices and processes.
- Maintain current, comprehensive desktop procedures and supporting documentation.
- Ensure staff follow Citi policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Hands-on Java engineering experience with a proven track record of building and modernizing systems.
- Proven understanding of FX is highly preferred.
- Understanding of low-latency development practices.
- Knowledge of software, hardware, and networks sufficient to define solutions and troubleshoot issues.
- Ability to deep dive into products and codebases and provide detailed, constructive analysis and feedback.
- Exceptional communication skills and confidence communicating at individual-team and enterprise-wide levels.
- Awareness of industry trends and the ability to leverage new technologies appropriately.
