Base Salary
$159k - $202k/yr
Responsibilities
- Perform application security reviews, including architecture reviews, threat modeling, code reviews, and security testing.
- Conduct mobile security reviews and investigate security issues in applications and services.
- Build security workflow automation and respond to new threat scenarios.
- Provide security training, outreach, guidance, and documentation to internal development teams.
- Deliver security metrics, improve processes, and conduct projects and research as needed.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to recruiting and administrative activities.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship work across at least five security domains, including application security frameworks, security code reviews, incident response, security infrastructure, penetration testing, mobile security, cloud security, AI security, or identity and access controls.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP.
- Non-internship experience with scripting, programming, and security code review in a common programming language.
- Experience troubleshooting systems issues, analyzing logs, or automating basic tasks with command-line tools.
- Knowledge of common software security vulnerabilities, including the OWASP Top 10, and remediation techniques.
- Preferred qualifications include 4+ years of experience in areas such as threat modeling, secure coding, identity management and authentication, software development, cryptography, system administration, or network security.
- Preferred experience includes AWS products and services, Python, Java, or C++, and security activities across software development lifecycle phases.
