Base Salary
$159k - $202k/yr
Responsibilities
- Research, identify, and prioritize security problems suitable for automated detection.
- Develop detection prototypes and improve security detection capabilities.
- Identify opportunities to prevent security issues at scale across AWS infrastructure.
- Build and manage services that detect and automate mitigation of cybersecurity threats.
- Mentor and technically and professionally develop teammates.
- Research, evaluate, and advocate for technologies that mitigate complex security risks.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience with scripting, programming, and security code review in a common programming language.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience troubleshooting systems issues, analyzing logs, or automating tasks with command-line tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or experience in IT security.
- Knowledge of HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP networking protocols.
- Knowledge of industry security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques.
- Preferred experience includes threat modeling, secure coding, identity management, authentication, software development, cryptography, system administration, and network security.
- Preferred experience includes security activities across software development lifecycle phases such as security design review, threat modeling, secure code review, and security testing.
- Preferred experience includes Hadoop, Hive, Spark, EMR, AWS services, and cloud telemetry for detection engineering or incident response.
