Base Salary
$101k - $162k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop data mappings, transformation logic, and conversion scripts for extracting, transforming, and preparing legacy agency data for Axon’s platform.
- Execute and monitor end-to-end data ingestions, resolve errors independently, and verify delivery completeness and accuracy.
- Perform database analysis, schema mapping, and data profiling and lead client data discovery sessions at legacy system environments.
- Restore database copies and manage data environments for conversion activities.
- Act as a client-facing technical expert representing Axon’s data conversion capabilities throughout engagements.
- Assess conversion requirements and migration opportunities across cloud and on-premise legacy systems.
- Collaborate with product management, sales, software engineering, and agency technical stakeholders to define goals and outcomes.
- Use artificial intelligence tools and techniques to improve conversion efficiency and accuracy.
- Create reusable templates, scripts, and configurations and identify improvements to conversion tooling and platforms.
- Make public safety data accessible and actionable in partnership with internal teams and agencies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or quantitative field, coding boot camp graduation, or 5+ years of related technical experience.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, Bash, GraphQL, and Azure cloud tools.
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, JSON, XML, and YAML.
- Experience with data mapping for ETL projects and developing or maintaining customer production systems.
- Familiarity with REST API clients such as Postman and Insomnia.
- Backend engineering experience with Java, Scala, C++, or similar is preferred.
- Experience delivering software in a regulated environment such as GovTech, HIPAA, FinTech, or ISO is required.
- Experience with Records Management Systems, Computer Aided Dispatch, or public safety software is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with stakeholders of varying technical proficiency.
- Ability to independently manage technical projects, prioritize work, track progress, and complete deliverables with minimal oversight.
- Must pass a CJIS background check and maintain confidential, sensitive information.
- Must be willing to support Axon’s mission, values, and program mission.
