Responsibilities
- Architect and evolve scalable, robust distributed services in the core Java environment.
- Design and develop stream-processing pipelines and event-driven architectures for real-time analytics and data synchronization.
- Manage data consistency, evolving schemas, high concurrency, and massive data growth across mission-critical billing systems.
- Architect and manage cloud-native backend services using AWS and Kubernetes.
- Take ownership of a service or functional area and implement complex streaming or backend features.
- Resolve technical bottlenecks and contribute to the long-term reliability of the platform.
- Use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Claude, and Cursor to improve engineering productivity and solve complex architectural problems.
Requirements
- Significant experience building and scaling services in large codebases using Modern Java, the Spring Framework, and ORM/Persistence Frameworks.
- Expertise architecting stream-processing pipelines and data-intensive, high-concurrency distributed systems.
- Proficiency with Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, Apache Beam, Change Data Capture, MySQL, ClickHouse, and Redis.
- Proven ability to architect and manage cloud-native backend services using AWS and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Codex, and Cursor.
- Preferred experience optimizing relational databases or building real-time data synchronization solutions.
- Preferred familiarity with deploying and monitoring services in cloud-native or containerized environments.
- Experience working in a global engineering hub and participating in technical discussions and learning is a plus.
