Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise applications using Pega Platform, Java, JEE, and Spring Boot.
- Build and maintain backend services, integrations, and REST APIs supporting enterprise workflows and agentic capabilities.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, business stakeholders, and engineering teams on technical designs and delivery.
- Apply Pega architecture, coding, security, performance, and maintainability standards across applications.
- Troubleshoot production, implementation, deployment, and environment issues and improve system stability and reliability.
- Develop automated unit, integration, and system testing frameworks.
- Promote automation, CI/CD, observability, monitoring, and secure software delivery practices.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members and support continuous improvement.
- Analyze application performance and system behavior and implement scalability, resilience, and security improvements.
Requirements
- 8–9 years of hands-on software engineering experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-scale applications.
- Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, Pega Platform, REST APIs, microservices, application architecture, object-oriented design, integration patterns, API development, and distributed systems.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools and practices to improve productivity, code quality, testing, documentation, and delivery.
- Hands-on exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP; AWS experience and cloud certification are highly desirable.
- Understanding of Agile delivery, SDLC, DevSecOps, and iterative development in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Industry-recognized certifications such as Java Certification, Pega CSSA, AWS Developer, Solutions Architect, or related cloud certifications are highly regarded.
- Experience with relational or NoSQL databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL, including data modeling, performance tuning, and SQL optimization.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, OWASP security principles, and secure coding practices.
- Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/Fargate, Terraform, and CDK.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology.
