Responsibilities
- Own and evolve Lime’s internal developer experience, AI, and ML tooling, including CI/CD, internal development tools, MCP, and Claude Code tooling standards.
- Rotate across infrastructure and reliability, developer tooling, ML/AI platform engineering, cost, and observability based on team needs.
- Operationalize AI adoption metrics and reporting for leadership.
- Build developer utilities, AI-assisted workflows, and ML platform capabilities that achieve broad internal adoption.
- Own SOX-adjacent infrastructure work including Flux reconciliation, breakglass access, and monitor tagging.
- Design and operate platform-as-a-service systems, internal developer platforms, and self-service infrastructure.
- Mentor engineers, including senior engineers, on infrastructure and platform fundamentals.
- Advise Platform leadership on technology adoption and process improvements.
- Define technical strategy and architecture in areas without established patterns and write improvement-oriented postmortems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software or infrastructure engineering experience.
- A track record of shipping tools that other engineers use.
- Hands-on experience in at least two of production infrastructure and reliability, developer tooling and CI/CD, ML/AI platform engineering, and cost and observability, with familiarity in a third area.
- Working proficiency in AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD systems sufficient to own production and compliance-adjacent work independently.
- Experience mentoring other engineers, particularly on infrastructure or platform fundamentals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for advising leadership.
- Preferred: direct experience with LLM or agent tooling, MCP, or internal AI developer tools.
- Preferred: exposure to SOX or other compliance frameworks in infrastructure contexts.
- Preferred: PlanetScale, Vitess, or other distributed database operational experience.
- Preferred: experience in a startup or fast-changing environment.
- Preferred: meaningful hands-on experience across infrastructure and reliability, developer tooling and CI/CD, ML/AI platforms, and cost and observability.
