Base Salary
$193k - $262k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop new AWS EC2 machine-learning platforms for high-performance training and inference workloads.
- Solve complex performance optimization problems across the technology stack at massive scale.
- Collaborate with teams developing hardware, firmware, systems, and application software.
- Lead software design and architecture for reliable, scalable systems.
- Use C, C++, or Rust in a Linux environment and apply software build, testing, version control, and package-management practices.
- Mentor engineers or serve as a tech lead and influence product strategy.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 5 years of programming experience with one or more software programming languages.
- At least 5 years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience mentoring, serving as a tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
- Preferred: at least 5 years of full software development life-cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Expertise in C, C++, or Rust development in Linux is required; experience with Linux package management, version control systems, automated builds, and unit testing is required.
- Preferred: in-depth knowledge of machine-learning frameworks and cluster management.
