Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on technical leadership, mentorship, coaching, and engineering thought leadership.
- Design and build architectures that balance simplicity, quality, scale, security, and resilience.
- Create reusable patterns, guardrails, and tooling that accelerate team delivery.
- Build secure, observable, tested, scalable, performant, and operable software using disciplined rollout and rollback practices.
- Apply AI-enabled tools across design, coding, testing, review, and documentation while maintaining human accountability for high-risk decisions and final quality.
- Improve workflows by removing friction, toil, and unnecessary handoffs and strengthen cross-functional execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience; an advanced degree is a plus.
- Extensive professional software development experience with demonstrated depth in full-stack engineering and system or application architecture.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, SQL, and the design of RESTful and streaming-based APIs.
- Hands-on experience delivering cloud-native solutions, including microservices, containerization, and modern deployment patterns.
- Working knowledge of NoSQL and distributed data stores applied appropriately at scale.
- Experience using AI-enabled capabilities, including GenAI or ML-driven services, for developer productivity, system intelligence, or customer outcomes.
- Prior experience in securities, financial services, or modern engineering-first organizations is a plus.
