Base Salary
$174k - $267k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with Product Management, Engineering Directors, and Principal Architects to translate strategic objectives into technical roadmaps.
- Design and implement macOS software features and services, owning work from conception through deployment.
- Lead cross-functional delivery with Product, Design, and QA teams.
- Mentor Staff and Senior engineers, guide technical design reviews, and raise engineering standards across the organization.
- Improve code quality, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, documentation, and architectural practices.
- Prototype emerging technologies and drive innovation in device security and AI-native engineering.
Requirements
- 7+ years of progressive software development experience, including designing and building macOS or iOS features with Swift.
- Deep expertise in macOS or iOS software environments, performance optimization, and security considerations.
- Advanced debugging and performance optimization experience using Xcode, LLDB, and Instruments, including resolving memory and concurrency issues.
- Experience with automated testing and CI/CD in fast-paced software development environments.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence technical direction across diverse audiences.
- Proficiency with AI coding assistants such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: security expertise involving cryptography, Secure Enclave, MDM protocols, endpoint detection, identity and access management, FIDO, OIDC/OAuth, cybersecurity, secure coding, CISSP, or Security+.
Benefits
- Annual base salary ranges from $194,000 to $267,000 for San Francisco Bay Area candidates and from $174,000 to $239,000 for candidates in specified other states and regions.
