Base Salary
$115k - $184k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain software components, automation frameworks, and validation tools.
- Develop scalable Java and Spring Boot microservices and contribute to end-to-end software development lifecycle activities.
- Define software architecture and design patterns for scalability, reliability, maintainability, testability, and operational readiness.
- Develop test automation frameworks, CI/CD integration pipelines, performance tests, reliability tests, and production simulations.
- Apply secure coding, vulnerability detection, code-quality analysis, software composition analysis, and security testing practices.
- Manage release workflows, builds, artifacts, canary or blue-green deployments, and standardized CI/CD pipelines.
- Conduct code reviews and review system designs, test strategies, and implementation approaches.
- Perform observability, monitoring, performance engineering, load testing, tuning, bottleneck analysis, and production troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, and product teams, mentor junior engineers, and recommend tools and frameworks.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience developing microservices with Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience with relational SQL databases, preferably PostgreSQL and Oracle SQL.
- Advanced understanding of cloud-native architecture, PCF, and AWS.
- Strong hands-on software engineering and quality engineering experience, including unit, functional, integration, performance, and cross-platform testing.
- Experience with Jenkins, XLR or XL Release, GitHub Actions, Sonar, and Clover for automation, CI/CD, and code coverage.
- Experience with secure coding practices, application security principles, vulnerability scanning, and software composition analysis tools.
- Knowledge of object-oriented design, modularity, design patterns, microservices, distributed systems, scalability, data structures, and algorithms.
- Ability to contribute to system architecture and apply domain-driven design and advanced design patterns.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, written communication, and collaborative teamwork skills.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Preferred experience includes cloud and microservices architecture, mainframe modernization, reliable and high-performance system design, and payments or transaction processing.
