Responsibilities
- Lead cross-team development of middleware patterns and runtimes for interoperability and scale.
- Define versioning, deprecation, compatibility, and safe rollout strategies.
- Establish observability baselines, SLOs, error budgets, resilience patterns, and service health practices.
- Design, develop, test, debug, document, and optimize scalable software and APIs.
- Provide architectural guidance, code reviews, technical coaching, and mentorship to less experienced engineers.
- Troubleshoot complex application programming interface and integration issues and implement fixes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and customers to resolve broad-reaching defects and inform product enhancements.
- Coordinate moderately complex projects, timelines, deliverables, priorities, and technical work across teams.
- Participate in candidate interviews and provide hiring recommendations.
Requirements
- Advanced software development knowledge and experience leading complex platform, runtime, middleware, or architectural work.
- Ability to develop scalable software, implement API versioning and interoperability strategies, and resolve complex technical issues.
- Experience with software testing, quality assurance, monitoring, observability, performance profiling, and optimization.
- Knowledge of secure coding practices, software development standards, maintenance, patching, and service reliability.
- Ability to provide technical leadership, coaching, mentoring, architecture guidance, and cross-team collaboration.
- Experience coordinating project tasks and providing technical oversight across multiple initiatives.

- U.S. hiring range is $104,500 to $234,600 per annum, with possible bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
