Base Salary
$141k - $217k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop cloud-based voice infrastructure for SIP routing, call state management, and redundancy in emergency 911 systems.
- Build and maintain integrations with telephony providers, PSAPs, and external partners for end-to-end production call reliability.
- Drive major features and architectural evolution of the voice platform.
- Collaborate with operations, networking, and engineering teams on system visibility, reliability, and infrastructure changes.
- Participate in on-call rotations or incident response for production voice infrastructure.
Requirements
- Deep experience with VoIP/UC systems and the SIP protocol, including writing or integrating SIP-based applications.
- Cloud platform experience, ideally AWS, with an understanding of distributed and fault-tolerant cloud systems.
- Familiarity with open-source VoIP tools such as FreeSWITCH and Kamailio; adjacent experience is welcome.
- Ability to collaborate across networking, operations, product, and engineering teams and communicate technical complexity clearly.
- Ability to work effectively with meaningful responsibility in a life-critical production environment.
