Base Salary
$200k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Work as a hybrid Systems Engineer and Software Developer on internal systems managing global infrastructure and colocation environments.
- Architect, build, and maintain streaming monitoring tools, real-time packet and flow analysis systems, configuration management, and automation frameworks.
- Improve platform quality, efficiency, resilience, alerting, and observability based on team and business requirements.
- Conduct deep-dive debugging of low-level performance issues in complex software stacks.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with Python and Go.
- Strong experience with Linux and knowledge of streaming systems architecture and design.
- Experience with message and streaming queues such as Apache Kafka and RabbitMQ.
- Working knowledge of Rust and C/C++, plus experience with big-data or columnar data stores and time-series databases.
- Experience with version control, CI/CD systems, application deployment management, Kubernetes, and containers or pods.
- Demonstrated infrastructure reliability experience and the ability to address complex technical, organizational, and process challenges.
- Bonus qualifications include Rust experience, exposure to Arista or Cisco hardware, routing protocol knowledge, and network design experience.
